Day out with Thomas

On Saturday we had a fun day we got to go to the Heber Valley Railroad where they had their Day our with Thomas. This event is where they bring in a life size Thomas the Train for all the kids. This was not the cheapest event we've ever gone to so we were really sad when the night before the weather man said that it was suppose to rain. Luckily the rain stayed away while we were there we were so excited to have such a wonderful day.

Derek was so excited so see Thomas just in case you can't tell. It took all we had to get him to look at the camera, he just kept staring at the train.

Derk just loved hanging off the side of the open air car where he could see everything as we rode by at 2 miles per hour. The ride went past lots of farms and he was so excited that Thomas was passing tractors.
Derek receiving his honorary Jr. Conductor certificate.
Derek was just so excited he could hardly stand it, although as more and more people got on the train he got a little nervous.

The Imagination station. This is where the kids were able to play with all sorts of different Thomas toys. They had a gift shop as well, and it was full of way to over priced Thomas the Train memorabilia. I just couldn't imagine paying $19 dollars for a t-shirt for a 2 year old.

Derek was pretty worn out after a while. He got to see so many different things including Sir Toppham Hat! We had such a wonderful day and we were so excited to see what Derek reaction was and he was so excited. I have also done a post with a video of him seeing the train for the first time. I just loved seeing his excited face. I think he will even like it more next year.
