Jakes Blessing Day

Jake Blessing day was a wonderful day.  He was blessed on July 13, 2013.  My sister Dani took these darling pictures of him just before.  They turned out so cute, I'm so lucky to have an amazingly talented sister. 

His Daddy blessed him accompanied by Grandpa Mark Hatch,  Uncles Chris Gambling and Nate Hatch, family friend Riley Beck and First Counselor in the Bishopric Brother Armentour.   We had several family members and friends that were unable to make it but felt so blessed to have those that were there to share this special day with us. 

He was blessed that he would be healthy and able to fight off illness.  That he would love learning and seek opportunities to learn.  That he would have the desire to serve a mission.  To one day find a sweet spirit to love and take to the temple.  He was admonished to find comfort in his family who loves him, and will always be there for him.

His smile can just light up a room.

4th of July

 4th of July was spent with family and just playing.  We set up a slip and slide and a pool for all the grandkids to play in.  They had a blast and played for hours. 

I love seeing these cousins play, they have so much fun.

Jake spent a good majority of the day asleep in a bouncer.  He was such a good boy.

 A couple of days later we went down to Mona, UT to watch there amazing firework display.  Jake didn't like them at all and he cried and then screamed.  I went back to the car and tried to get away from as much noise as possible.  It didn't work very well and unfortunately I didn't get to see much of anything.  Hopefully next year we can have a better experience. 

Jake was happy while he was waiting for the fireworks to start. 

We took popcorn, and went and got a slurpee as a treats while waiting for the fireworks to start.

My Mom has a sweet friend who has horses and Mom always wanted to see what the grand kids would be like on one.  So she made the arrangements.  The horses name is babe and well they all loved it.  Derek even liked to ride by himself.

Even Grady got in on the Riding action.
