A 2nd Video!

This is the video I promised of the scoot and Ride I think that he looks really very cute, but I might just be a little bias. ENJOY!

A Video!

Derek's favorite song is by lady Antebellum called "Need you now" He always gets so excited everytime he here's the introduction. So one day we just had to video it. Unfortunately this one didn't catch him as off guard as it normally does. It is not uncommon for me to have the radio going while I'm doing dishes or preparing dinner and the song comes on and he will come running even if he is in his room playing with his trains. It always makes me laugh and I love it.

The Festival of Color's

(These two girls are my babysitters, and I might add the best babysitters I have ever had.)

"In India Holi announces the arrival of spring and the passing of winter. It is a festival that breathes an atmosphere of social merriment. People bury their hatchets with a warm embrace and throw their worries to the wind. Every nook and corner presents a typically colorful sight. Young and old alike are covered with colors (red, green, yellow, blue, black and silver). People in small groups are seen singing, dancing and throwing colors on each other." The pictures above are the aftermath of this festival. This Festival of colors is held at the Kirshna Temple that is just about a mile from my house. Now these are just a few pictures however there were thousands of people (mostly college and high school students) who flocked to the celebration. It is pretty funny yet I know most of them don't understand the meaning behind the celebration, but at least some of them know that they are there to celebrate that we all have differences and that is exactly how God wanted it. I may not be of this faith but I to am so glad to know that we are all created individually as part of our Heavenly Father's plan.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Yes, I truly believe that out Heavenly Father has a sense of humor. This is what it looked like at our house this morning. We woke up to 5 inches of snow and of course that meant lots of shoveling.

Derek got a toy for Easter this year, he got a little a scoot and ride car in the shape of Lightning McQueen from Disney's Cars. He loves this show and thinks that this little car is just so cool because he can make all sorts of noises. I will try to post a video of it a little later today.

This Easter morning is also General Conference. For any of you who aren't members of the LDS faith this is when our Church Leaders through a world wide broadcast give message of faith, encouragement, and teaching. Well here is Utah it is broadcast on the local television station. So this morning we went up and watched it at my parents house. Mom and Dad had a new Easter toy for the kids to help keep them occupied during the broadcast. The kids loved their Mr. Potato Head dolls.

The kids were decorating some Easter eggs! They had lots of fun putting stickers on their brightly colored eggs. Later tonight we are going to do an Easter egg hunt with the kiddies in my parents basement since well the snow doesn't really make it conducive to egg hunting outside.

Corey looks forward to every conference with mom's Cinnamon Rolls she is such a good cook and Corey absolutely loves these. We have been having them for years every conference Sunday.
