Dairy Days

Last weekend I took the boys to Thanksgiving Point Farm Country for the Dairy Days.  We waited in line in the rain for 30 minutes for a 60 second pony ride (but at least Derek loved it).  Jake was a great sport and seemed to enjoy himself too. 

He liked that he got to be on one of the bigger horses.

Around and around and around

We learned how to make Ice Cream in a bag, and shook our Ice Cream on a wagon ride. 

Derek was amazed by how big these horses were. 

He got a chance to brush one of the ponies

Of course afterwards we hit the Ice Cream Parlor for a Sundae!  I won't lie it tasted wonderful.

 

Derek didn't like the maraschino cherry, but he posed for a great picture.

Lagoon Day

We were so lucky Corey's Company had a Lagoon Day, and we had a blast!  We didn't take Jake we left him with Corey's cousin Ally, and we took our niece Annistyn instead.  Annistyn and Derek are the same age and it was great to have somebody for Derek to ride the smaller rides with.

It was a hot day and with some serious coaxing and maybe a few tears from Derek we rode most of the rides that the kids were big enough to Ride.  Annistyn is quite the ride junky, Derek may be a little more timid, but he started getting braver towards the end.

Swimming Lessons

This latest round of swimming lessons we got to do with the Gambling cousins. Swimming lessons are great and Derek did awesome but my schedule is so glad that they are over with.

Flag Day

This year I felt that I needed to take my boys up to go the graves of my grandparents.  Unfortunately my grandparents never got to meet Corey let alone my little boys.   We came to put Flags on their graves.  It wasn't until I had already decided to go that I learned that this was also my grandparents anniversary.  So it felt specially poignant that we went. 


This is my Dad's Uncle Steve he died in World War II.  He was the only brother to my Grandpa Hatch

1. On our way home, I felt that it was important to go to the Mount Timpanogos Temple where Corey and I were married.  Just a reminder that Families really are forever.  This is a pretty good selfie don't you think?

Kindergarten graduation

Derek's Official Kindergarten Graduation picture.

Derek had his Kindergarten Graduation.  He looked so cute. 

He did so well this year and loved school.  He is super excited to start 1st grade next year and go all day long.  Mommy is excited for him to go all day long too.
