Grotto

Every week we get with some friends and hit a different park or splash pad.  This time we decided to hike the Grotto Trail up Payson Canyon.  It is a short little hike and Jake loved it.  the kids loved playing in the waterfall and hiking with their friends.  Jake decided his job was to get as muddy as possible.

Teddy bear clinic

I took the kids to the Teddy Bear Clinic that Mountain View Hospital puts on every year.  The kids get to bring their favorite teddy bears and tour the hospital.  The goal is to hopefully make the kids not so scared in the event that it is them that has to visit the hospital. The did surgery on their bears, bandaged them up in the ER.  Showed where Mom's go to have babies and tour the inside of an ambulance and Life Flight Helicopter.  The kids had a blast, it was a really hot day, but luckily most of it was indoors.

We went with our Friends the Thomas this is Kaisen and Tucker

The Beautiful Payson Temple

I can hardly believe that it finally happened, but it did. The Payson Temple is finally dedicated. I was able to go through the open house 3 different times and each one was super special.
The first time I went to the Open House I went with just my Mom.  That was so special for me, I walked through that special temple and I felt the spirit so strongly.  I didn't have any kids with me, I was just there for me.  And I Loved IT.

The 2nd time I went we took our family and a family friend who is not a member of the church.  We spent lots of time talking to her, answering questions and it was a great day.
The 3rd time I took just Derek.  I wanted a time where I got to focus completely on him.  To answer any questions he had and to hopefully help him feel the importance of the temple.

I'm so lucky to have my forever family, and also to have a temple 5 minutes away.

Jake is always a character

This is his favorite TV watching position, always with the pillow over the top of him.
