So on Wednesday we took Derek to Primary Children's Medical Center to have some testing done. They did a test called an Upper GI (Gastrointestinal) which is suppose to check to see if he had any blockages or if something was abnormal in his GI track. The testing was hard to watch as they have to squirt barium into his mouth and have his legs tied up. He hated every minute of it and made sure that we knew it. I think he took out his anger on us for a couple of days because he didn't sleep for the next 2 days. I guess that was his way of getting back at us. Well luckily everything came back normal which is great but also frustrating because we have no reason as to why things are going the way they are. He hasn't thrown up for about a week and we just keep hoping that it stays that way. We still have an appointment to see the pediatric GI specialist we are just hoping that he has been cured and we don't even have to keep it. I think that he was so scarred for life that he is not going to let himself through up again for fear of having to go through that kind of stuff again. Tonight we are going to have his 1st Birthday part. We moved the date because my parents are still moving and Sunday would be an easier day. Don't worry the 15th will be a good day because well that was my due date so see there is significance in the date.
Carol and Joe came down this weekend for his Birthday party and they were so sweet to keep Derek this afternoon so that Corey and I could actually go on a Valentine's date. Believe it or not Corey and i went on a date without Derek. We actually we out to dinner and used our birthday gift certificates that we have had forever and went to a movie all by ourselves. It was so much fun to be out by ourselves. We were a little "weirded out" by not having Derek with us and yes we even went to a sit-down restaurant. We don't do that anymore.
Corey still doesn't have a job but is still hard at work. He has worked so hard to make sure he has all his paperwork right and has been moving my parents non stop. To all you parents out there who have been in your house for a long time you should never move. I still can't believe how much stuff my parents have. Or you need to start packing and weeding stuff out (throw away a lot of stuff, more than likely your kids don't want it). Corey is still waiting to hear from Loomis and hopefully we will get a call from the union to get an electrician job soon. Well I guess that is it from us I will post pictures of Derek's Birthday party
