Well this last week or so have been quite stressful but that is neither here nor there because it is not like stress is ever going to leave our lives. So instead we have to do something to help us get through it. Luckily I have wonderful family and friends who have and I'm sure will continue to do this. Thank you Jenny and B for letting us join you at your Cabin it was so nice. On Friday night we went up Provo Canyon which wasn't very far at all, and just played. We had a fire, ate tin foil dinners and hot dogs, roasted marshmallows and just enjoyed being in the cooler mountains. Our kids had fun playing together and we just had fun just being friends and talking. Unfortunately because of our work schedules and kids, we don't get together nearly as often as we used to and I must say that now when we do, it is so much fun.
On Saturday we actually headed up to Logan to stay the night in preparation for my niece Hazyl's blessing on Sunday morning. We had a wonderful dinner with the whole family, had a blast going bowling (now there is a great way to take our some aggression and pictures will have to come at a later time) and tried to go to bed early. However, the going to bed early part was not to be. It took Derek quite a while to calm down and relax enough that he would crash. It is funny how kids are such creatures of habit. He kept asking me to rock which is an activity that we participate in quite a bit at night, but unfortunately there was no rocking chair I tried but it wasn't the same. He finally crashed, and we were ready to settle down for the night however, the people in the rooms on both sides of us decided that they wanted to fight all night long. Something about not being appreciated and well lets just say that there was lots of screaming, some cussing. Needless to say we were about to call the front desk several times and then every time Corey got ready to pick up the phone they would go back into their rooms and calm down. Needless to say at this point in time we were feeling like we were trying to take our car to a mechanic and tell him that something was wrong but as soon as we got to the repair shop the car was working perfectly, anyone ever have this feeling? Needless to say Corey finally got ticked off enough that he finally just got dressed and waited by the door, as soon as they started up again he went out into the hallway and let them have it. I didn't actually see this but, I wish I would have. I can only picture how big Corey's chest got and how tall he stood. The only thing he had going against him was his voice. For the past couple of weeks Corey has been fighting some sort of allergy and has nearly just lost his voice so he sounds like a teenage boy going through puberty it is actually really funny. However, his tactics worked and we finally got to sleep at about 1 am just to be waking up by 6:30am. Oh well, it is another story to add to the mix.
Sunday was a wonderful day, Derek was actually in a really good mood and was for the most part well behaved, Hazyl's blessing was wonderful, (way to go Tyson). It always amazes me how much the Lord has blessed us with and that he starts doing that from such an early age in life. We really are watched over so much it seems like somehow though sometimes we lose sight of it. Thanks Tyson for giving Hazyl a blessing that reminded me of this. We are excited for this coming weekend, Carol will be coming for the 4th of July, Corey and I get to go see Carrie Underwood at The Stadium of Fire, and most importantly for Corey he gets to see his dog Blaze. Hope ya'll have a great day and holiday weekend.

In case anyone wonders...yes, Joe will be coming with me too! We are the lucky ones because we get to keep Derek while they are gone to see that ugly old Carrie Underwood! We are looking forward to spending time with our favorite kids!
