Last Monday we took Derek to his 12 month appointment. Of course with Derek's recent health issues and the fact that we have made more visits to the doctor this year. We have had several extra appointments that were just weight checks so needless to say we have gotten to know the doctor's office quite well. So on Monday Derek had gained a whole pound within the last month. This is a huge weight gain for him, and of course we were so excited. He has finally entered the 8Th percentile which you might be laughing but hey we were so excited because we had been down to the 1st percentile and had stayed below 5 for the last 5 months so we were quite excited. Derek has gotten so big lately, now he is in an front facing car seat and I'm so excited except for the fact that I'm realizing that my sweet baby is not quite so much of a baby anymore. I have just loved being a mom. I'm just so happy to see Derek doing so well there is nothing worse than thinking there is something wrong with your baby and now to know that everything is just fine.
Corey is still out of work but we have been so blessed by his part-time job that we already had as well as my job. We have been able to get more hours and we have been able to make the bills so far. We definitely feel so blessed. Otherwise this is all that is different for us. We really just haven't had much going on just plugging along one day at a time. Thanks again to all our friends and family who have been so supportive during these hard times.

YAY Derek! I know exactly how you feel...Sienna hung out down at the 3rd precentile for a while...and congrats on the forward facing car seat...we didn't get to enjoy that until Sienna was 15 months old (because she didn't weigh enough). Glad things are going well (enough).
