Derek's 8th Birthday

It's so hard to believe that Derek is already eight years old.  We had quite the birthday adventure  planned for him but that didn't happen like we planned.  Corey had taken the day off work since I was pregnant and couldn't do it all that was planned.  We had planned to go up to soldier hollow and go tubing. But a big Semi accident made it that we couldn't get up the canyon, so instead Corey just took him and his cousin Annistyn to a hill close to our house.  Derek wanted a fire cake this year and this was the best that I could come up with.

He was very excited  for presents, he got fire trucks, soccer goal, and scriptures.  Unfortunately the scriptures were his least favorite.

The gamblings and grandma and papa Hatch came over for cake and presents, we are lucky to have family close by to celebrate with us.

Derek was so excited to show everybody the new firetrucks he had built with his new Lego's he got for his birthday.
