This summer has been a scary one for firefighters. Luckily Utah so far has been lucky and hasn't had to many big ones like Idaho, Washington, or California. But we did have this one that was started right up our Canyon. Corey spent two days fighting this fire and luckily they were able to get out quickly. We were lucky that his Boss didn't even bat an eye when he had to come for this and take a day off. Luckily our home was never in any danger and there was no evacuation needed at all. Good Job, Santaquin Fire Department.
I've had several friends ask me how I can let me husband have this hobby and the answer is simple HE LOVES IT. I trust him, he won't put himself in jeopardy just for the fun of it, he loves life to much. Also he works with an amazing group of guys, that always have each others back.

We were sure glad when the helicopters came to help, they also had a couple of planes come to drop retardant.
Eventually the Feds came in and took over, The Department was so glad to have their help and resources.
